Merton and Kay Fogler -- 50 years

The children of Merton and Kay Fogler announce the 50th wedding anniversary of their parents, who were married on April 28, 1963, at the First Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs, Mo., by the Rev. Don Gundy. Merton is a retired iron worker employed on various construction projects across Missouri and a variety of projects at 3M. His wife, Kay, retired from owning and operating Kay's Beauty Salon in El Dorado Springs for 36 years.

Together they enjoy traveling, spending time with their family and volunteering at their church and in the community. They were blessed with two children, Rhonda Bridges and her husband Jerry of Collinsville, Okla., and Gary Fogler and his wife Wendy of Blue Springs, Mo. Their three grandchildren, Courtney Fogler, Cassidy Fogler and Ryan Bridges, are the light of their lives.

They are celebrating their anniversary with a trip to Hawaii this spring -- a gift from their children.
