Letter to the Editor

Same sex marriage is a sin

Saturday, May 4, 2013

Dear Editor:

"In God We Trust," the United States of America prints these words on our currency.

Do we really trust in God? If we do, then why do we go against God's Word"

Some Americans want to condone same sex marriage (homosexuality), but condemn other sexual immoralities. Both are a sin in God's eyes. If we believe in the words that we print on or currency' "In God We Trust," then why don't we trust God's Word?

God's Word in Leviticus, Chapter 18, verse 11, reads, Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable .

In Genesis, Chapter 19, verse's 1-25, God destroyed Sodom and Gomorra for the cities were full of sexual immorals, (homosexuals). Homosexuality is a sin in God's eyes. This sin is sexually immoral, but yet some people condone this type of immoral act. And condemn other sexually immoral acts.

We judge people and put labels on them for committing other sexually immoral acts. We need to judge people who commit same sex marriage, (homosexual acts).

This is the problem with the United States of America today. We no longer live by the word of God. Our president and both houses of Congress are the reason why the United States of America is in such bad shape. They are the leaders of our country, and all they are worried about is being re-elected, instead of the morals of our country.

Same sex marriage is a sin, and should not be legalized. Let's put trust back in God, like we have written on our currency, "In God We Trust,"
