Patricia Darlene Gardner, 80, Nevada, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013, at her home in Nevada, following a lengthy illness. She was born on April 5, 1933, in Braymer, Mo., to Freddie Cobb and Minnie Rodella Cooper Cobb. She married Richard Lee Gardner on June 16, 1952, in Chillicothe, Mo., and he preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1989.

Pat was raised in Braymer and graduated from Braymer High School. She was a homemaker most of her life. Pat came to Rich Hill with her family and has lived in the area the past 50 years. She loved camping, fishing, mushrooming, and hunting with her family.

Survivors include six children, Richard Gardner Jr. and his wife, Sharon, Horton, Mo., James P. Gardner, Nevada, Larry Gardner and his wife, Lisa, Sheldon, Mo., Sandy West and her husband, Bill, Horton, Cindy Terrel and her husband, Dave, Nevada, and Jack Gardner and his wife, Nina, Sheldon; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Viola Gibson, Chillicothe, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; three sisters; one brother; two daughters; and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Rich Hill, Mo. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends from 4-5 p.m., today, May 14.
