Lloyd Robert Schneck, 80, of Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at the Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada, following a month-long illness. He was born July 15, 1932, in Kansas City, Mo., to Frank Schneck and Ethel (Walline) Schneck. Lloyd was raised in the Kansas City area. Following high school he served in the United States Army for three years during the Korean Conflict.

Lloyd lived and worked in California most of his working life where he owned and operated several businesses. Following retirement, Lloyd was active in managing residential properties in Nevada. Lloyd was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nevada, Osage Masonic Lodge No. 303, and past master of the former Taberville Masonic Lodge. Lloyd also served as patient ombudsman for 13 years for several area nursing homes. Lloyd enjoyed traveling and visited many destinations around the world.

Survivors include one son, Richard Schneck and his wife, Sara, of Pleasanton, Calif.; one daughter, Randi Westphal and her husband, Peter, of Nelson, New Zealand; his mother, Ethel Badami; Linda Dorsey, Brian and Rhonda Leonard, Doug and Deanna Kennedy, Doug and Sharri Hacker; grandchildren, Matthew and Andrea Schneck, Alex, Jeffery, and Jennifer Westphal, Brice Leonard, Erin Hunt, Melinda Young, Jessica Tucker; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m on Friday, May 24, at the First Baptist Church, Nevada, with Dr. Tony Preston officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call from now until the hour of service.
