Phony calls seeking personal information

Dear Editor:

People on Medicare are receiving phone calls form people saying they are with Medicare and are sending you a new card.

Do not give them any information, especially your Social Security number or checking account number.

This is a scam. Medicare will not call you on the phone. They write letters. Medicare is not sending out new cards.

Hang up on all strangers.

I talked to Medicare and they said this is a fraud.
