Arvest Bank -- Ozarks Food Harvest, 1 million meals for those in need

Tuesday, August 27, 2013

Arvest Bank in Southwest Missouri is partnering with Ozarks Food Harvest for the 1 Million Meals initiative, a two-month, bank-wide effort to provide one million meals or more to those in need.

Ozarks Food Harvest will receive non-perishable food and monetary donations made at Arvest branches, including Nevada, from Sept. 4 through Nov. 2.

Ozarks Food Harvest distributes food to 250 non-profit hunger relief organizations across 28 counties.

Residents can help support the food harvest by dropping off non-perishable food items or purchasing a 1 Million Meals paper plate for $1 at the Arvest branch in Nevada during this period. Every dollar raised provides the equivalent of five meals, noted a press release from Arvest.
