Randall Eugene Lusk, 61, of El Dorado Springs, Mo., passed away early Tuesday morning from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Randy was born March 18, 1952, in Nevada, to Roland and Rosemary Lusk. He was baptized at an early age at the First Presbyterian Church. Randy graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1970.

Randy's love of motorcycles began as a teenager. He started working for a motorcycle dealership in Nevada in the 60s and early 70s, and then started his own repair shop in 1977. In 1982, he bought Nevada Cycle and ran that business until it was destroyed by fire in 1988. In 1989, he opened El Dorado Cycle at its current location on South Highway 32.

In 1972, Randy married Ruby Leonard. They had one daughter, KorenMarie Lusk, born Aug. 11, 1977. Randy married Cheryl Burr in 1992. Randy and Cheryl had one son, Dalton Wesley Lusk, born Oct. 2, 1993.

Randy devoted his whole life to building a successful business. He and Cheryl hosted a lot of trials and events in El Dorado Springs and in surrounding areas. Over the years, Randy competed in motorcycle trials and won several awards for his expertise in riding. He enjoyed collecting vintage motorcycles and memorabilia. Randy also loved to fly and earned his pilot's license in 2003.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Roland and MaryLee Lusk and Jack and Mabel Burris.

Randy is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Koren; son, Dalton; one grandson, Noah; parents, Roland and Rosemary Lusk; brother, Ron Lusk; two sisters, Bert Julian and husband, John, and Becky McConnaughey and husband, Bud; two nephews, Chris Julian and wife, Meghan, and Mitch Julian; three nieces, Emily Shinn and husband, Chad, Ashley McConnaughey, and Rachel Lusk; and great-nephews and nieces, Kaden, Camden, Max, Carson and Eli.

Funeral services for Randy Lusk were held on Saturday, Aug. 31, at 10 a.m., at the El Dorado Springs Church of God (Holiness) with the Revs. Brent Bland and Jack Daniel officiating. Music was provided by Emily Shinn and selected CD's. Interment followed in Clintonville Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Lines, Kenny Friar, Brent Beckman, John Burrus, Doug Dobbs, Frankie Doty, Ronnie Butterfield, and Derek Zinchuck.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ride for A Wish, a motorcycle group that grants wishes for terminally ill children, or the local Back Pack Program.
