Norma Sue Johnson Henry, former Nevada resident, was born June 25, 1934, in Wells, Texas. She grew up in Crocket, but moved to Jacksonville, Texas, during her senior year. After graduating from Jacksonville High School and attending Lon Morris College as a drama major for one semester, she married John Clinton Henry on Jan. 4, 1953. They were married for 39 years and raised five children. She loved the meaning of the word "homemaker" and was proud to be a homemaker and mother.

Sue was a music lover, who enjoyed singing and dancing. She enjoyed being physically active and getting outdoors. She was an avid reader, who was interested in history and politics, family stories, and current affairs. She worked for several years at the Bushwhacker Museum in Nevada, Mo., and was known for her amazing memory for dates, names, places, and events. Always attracted to the dramatic, she was an old movie buff and enjoyed fiery political theater and old-time religion. More than anything, she had a zest for life that was contagious. She loved to laugh and enjoy herself and others.

Sue died Sept. 5, 2013, in Baytown, Texas.
