Zechariah and Hillary (Malcom) Rose

Hillary Lauren Malcom and Zechariah Clayton Rose exchanged wedding vows on July 27, 2013, in LaPlatt Community Church, Bellevue, Neb. Pastor Jim Parker performed the double-ring ceremony.

Church decorations included eggplant pew sashes, buckets of white roses at the altar, along with candelabras intertwined with white tulle and lit by Savanah Mendez.

The bride chose to wear her mother's bridal gown, which was altered into a strapless style, keeping the chapel-length train and adding a bustle feature. The bride's veil belonged to her aunt, Tearl Edwards, and was re-fashioned for the day. The veil had also been worn by the bride's mother on her wedding day.

Flower girl was Isabell Mendez, niece of the bride.

Ringbearer was Bryan Mendez, bride's nephew. Sign bearers were Samuel and Joshua Glesmann groom's nephews.

A reception followed at Bellevue Volunteer Firefighter Hall-Olde Town Bellevue, where the room was awash in candlelight and tables featured dozens of white roses. Hors d'oeuvres, cake and punch were served. Guests enjoyed dancing and a photo booth throughout the evening.

The newlyweds currently reside in Omaha, Neb.

A honeymoon is planned for a later date and is being provided as a wedding gift to the couple by the bride's Uncle G.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry D. Malcom, Sheldon, Mo., and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob R. Erwin, Nevada, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Malcom, Sheldon, Mo.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Rose, Papillion, Neb. He is the grandson of Mrs. Joan Larson, Papillion, Neb.

Out-of-town wedding guests included Mr. Garry Malcom, Oklahoma City, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Mark Malcom, Tampa, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Jim Edwards, Ms. Shearl Scism, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Ast and family, Ms. Savanah Mendez and family, Ms. Sherry Shaw, Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Pritchett and family, Nevada, Mo., and Ms. Ashley Edwards, Tahlequah, Okla.
