Fiftieth annual 4-H chicken barbecue Saturday

The Vernon County 4-H Council will be holding its annual Chicken Barbecue Saturday, Oct. 5, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Vernon County fairgrounds in the home economics building,

Dinners are $8 each and come with 1/2 chicken, potato, bread, beans or cole slaw. The 4-H council will have 100 dinners ready to sell at the door and people are welcome to eat there or take out.

This chicken barbecue is the only fundraiser held for Vernon County 4-H.

Tickets may be purchased at the Vernon County Extension office before Oct. 4 or at the door. The Extension office is located on the ground floor of the Vernon County Courthouse.
