Alma Pauline Doll, 84, Emerald Pointe Rehabilitation Center, Galena, Kan., passed to be with the Lord Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013. Pauline was born on April 14, 1929, in Garland, Kan., to Orville Lowell Clary and Anna Lea Smotherman Clary. Pauline married John William Doll on Dec. 25, 1946, who preceded her in death July 27, 1997. She was also preceded in death by both parents and her only brother, Francis Lowell Clary.

Mrs. Doll lived her entire life in southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas. She worked at J.C. Penney's, Edmiston's Clothing Store as a fashion buyer, and Haden's clothing store in Nevada, Mo., for 35 years. She retired in 1993. Pauline was a charter member of the Eagles Lodge in Nevada. She was a member of Generations Free Will Baptist Church in Joplin, Mo.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie Sue McQuillen and husband, Cliff, Joplin, having lived with them five years prior to entering Emerald Pointe; another daughter, Brenda Lea Kirkwood, Ocean Springs, Miss.; son, John Robert Doll, also of Ocean Springs, Miss.; four granddaughters, Erickha Rygaard, Jenifer Staab and husband, Mike, Gretchen Bunch and husband, Pete, and Jauna Leftwich and husband Ernie; two grandsons, Michael Kirkwood and Chad McQuillen and wife, Sami; nine great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons; one great-great-granddaughter; one niece; and three nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Jerald Bass officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
