Doris Vivian Moberg, 86, Harrisonville, Mo., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Kansas City, Mo. She was born Nov. 19, 1927, in Nevada, Mo., to Homer W. Dennison and Mamie C. Pauley Dennison. She was married to Roy W. Moberg on Jan. 10, 1947.

Doris was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1945. She had lived in Overland Park, Kan., since 1954, with the exception of living the past three years in Harrisonville. Doris worked for a time for or O'Neil Oldsmobile in Overland Park and later as a telephone operator at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Kremeier, Pleasant Hill, Mo.; two sons, Ken Ross-Moberg and his wife, Sarah, Lindsborg, Kan., and Randy Moberg and his wife, Barbara, Pleasant Hill, Mo.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Wehrly and her husband, Manfred, Lenexa, Kan., and Judy Austin and her husband, L.J., Nevada; one brother, Jim Dennison and his wife, Vicki, Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Dennison and Jack Dennison; and one grandson, Bobby Moberg.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Matt Wehrly officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m., in Cave Springs Cemetery, Sarcoxie, Mo. The family will receive friends from 10-10:30 a.m., prior to the service, Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Doris loved gardening and growing flowers, so the family requests that in lieu of flowers you plant one in her name.
