RICH HILL -- Host Rich Hill proved too much Thursday night for Hume as the Lady Hornets dropped a 57-31 decision.

The visitors fell behind, 19-10, at the first break, but did manage to slow down the hosts' scoring pace in the second quarter. Unfortunately for Hume, the Lady Hornets could only match scores as the teams combined for just 12 points in the frame.

That left Hume trailing, 25-16, at halftime.

The third quarter was still fairly even, but again, the Lady Hornets couldn't make up any ground and trailed, 39-27, with one period remaining.

Hume was outscored, 14-4, in the final 8 minutes.

Kaitlee Metcalf finished with 10 points to lead the Lady Hornets. Megan Sutcliffe added seven, Hope Yarick and Madison Cannon six each, and Brooke Best two.

Rich Hill put three players in double figures, with Jordann Wheatley netting 16 to pace the winners. Allie Taylor added 11 and Dee West Persley 10.
