Billie Floyd (Bill) Householder, 70, of Nevada, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at Freeman West Hospital, in Joplin, Mo. Bill, as he was known, was born June 24, 1943, in Nevada, to Harry Carol and Jennie Ann (Swift) Householder.

He was married for many years to Ruby Elaine Williams and together had four children. He attended school in Nevada and worked as a farm hand for many years. He also worked at Lawrence Logging in Deerfield and was a housepainter. He lived his entire in the Nevada area, loved fishing and hunting, and playing the guitar.

Survivors include his children, Bill F. Householder Jr. and Lisa, of Stockton, Jack E. Householder and Monica of Bronaugh; Missy Householder of Milo; Troy Householder and Jennifer, of Nevada, and Bridgett Wilson, of Kansas City, Kan.; four brothers, Don Householder, of Nevada, David Householder and Pam, of Lamar, Carol Householder, of Milo, and Howard Householder, of Springfield; one sister, Mary Lou Ijams, of Nevada; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Alice, Betty, Melba, and Alberta; and one brother, Harold.

Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Ferry Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, just prior to the service at the funeral home.
