Arthur Alexander Bell, 80, Milo, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, at his home following a lengthy illness. Arthur was born Feb. 25, 1934, in Naravisa, N.M., to Joy Frank and Marcella Monica (Rock) Bell. He was united in marriage to Ada Marie Harris on Feb. 15, 1956, in Kodiak, Ala., and she survives of the home.

Arthur grew up in New Mexico, the third oldest of 15 children, and graduated high school in Watts, Okla., in 1952. Following high school Arthur served in the United States Navy for four years, where he served on a Navy Destroyer in the South Pacific. After his time in the service he worked for Witt Printing in El Dorado Springs for 14 years and then 3M in Nevada for 22 years, until his retirement in 1996. Arthur attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Nevada.

Aside from his wife, Ada, survivors include three children, Kenneth Bell, Pasadena, Texas, Danny Bell and Gayle, Harwood, Mo., and Ellen Palmer and Michael, Nevada; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Francis Bell, Yerington, Nev., Pat Bell and August Bell, Broken Arrow, Okla., Richard Bell, Nashville, Texas, Edgar Bell, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Christopher Bell, Tulsa, Okla., and Gene Bell, Eugene, Ore.; one sister, Mary Jane Bowskill, Redding, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters; and one brother.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, March 6, at Newton Burial Park, Nevada, with Bro. Ray Dean Scism officiating. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Ferry Funeral Home.
