Helena Ethel Badami

Helena Ethel Badami, 102, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Barone Alzheimer Care Center, in Nevada. She was born April 18, 1911, in Durham, Kan., to Axel Emanuel Walline and Mattie Viola (Miller) Walline.

Ethel moved to Missouri in the early 1920s. She was married at a young age, the mother of two sons, and a homemaker. Ethel also owned and operated a restaurant where she was known for being an excellent cook. She was a volunteer at the Senior Center and organized the clothing drive. Ethel was of the Catholic faith and attended the Catholic Church in El Dorado Springs, Mo.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Richard, Randi, Margaret, Debbie, Joseph, John, Joe and Earl. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony Geo; and two sons, Lloyd Schneck and John Schneck.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 14, at Ferry Funeral Home with the Rev. Matthew Benjamin officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
