Shirley Ann (Terrill) Tucker

Shirley Ann Tucker, 68, of Schell City, Mo., passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, at her home. She was born Sept. 19, 1945, in Weaubleau, Mo., to Marion Cea and Anna Laura (Vale) Terrill.

Early in her life, Shirley, along with her family moved to the Kansas City, Mo., area where she attended school. On Nov. 23, 1973, she was united in marriage to Harold Samuel Tucker. Together they had three children, two sons and one daughter. Shirley was a homemaker much of her life, but did work for several years at the nursing home in Appleton City, Mo.

In her spare time she loved to garden. But her greatest loves were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved just being around them. She attended the Schell City Christian Church and was always known to be friendly and very kind to everyone in her church family.

Survivors include her children, Patty Greer and her husband, Randy, of Harwood, Mo., and Brian Tucker and his wife, Melissa, of Schell City, Mo.; one brother, Robert Terrill and his wife, Joann, of Thousand Oakes, Calif.; one sister, Carol Duncan and her husband, Jerry, of Independence, Mo.; four grandchildren, Greg Humphery and Sara, Nicholas Humphery, Tesla Paris, and Kinzie Paris; two great-grandchildren, Willow and Sylas Humphery; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Of special mention is her niece, DeDe Shaffer, who was always there for Shirley and spent much time with her through her illness. Shirley was preceded in death by her sister, Helen; her son, Steve; and her husband, Sam.

Graveside services with interment for Shirley Ann Tucker will be held at 11 a.m., today, at the Green Lawn Cemetery, in Schell City, with the Rev. Doug Reynolds officiating.

Arrangements for Mrs. Tucker were entrusted to the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home, Schell City.
