Jacqueline S. Schelp

Jacqueline S. (McCorkendale) Schelp, 79, passed away April 10, 2014. Jacqueline was born May 16, 1934, in Pitcher, Okla., the daughter of Theodore Roosevelt and Flora Nadine (Bohnstedt) Bennett. Jacqueline married George McCorkendale in 1952, and they shared 27 years of marriage together. George passed away in 1979. In 1980, she married Wilbert Schelp. Wilbert preceded her in death in 1989.

In addition to her husbands, Jaqueline was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara J. Krueger; and a grandson, Frankie L. Hendren. Survivors include one sister, Patricia Bennett; five children, George McCorkendale, of Lake Lotawana, Sandra Hendren, of Nevada, Mo., James McCorkendale, Barbara Finch, and Sherri McCorkendale Alflen, of Independence, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Kansas City Hospice. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at noon, Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
