Two drivers arrested for alcohol offenses

Missouri Highway Patrol troopers made two alcohol-related arrests in Vernon County over the Memorial Day weekend.

James Mangin, 54, of Nevada, was taken into custody Friday evening around midnight. He was arrested on charges of felony driving while intoxicated and misdemeanor driving while suspended. Mangin was held in the Vernon County Jail.

Sean McCannon, 30, of Lee's Summit, was booked Saturday night at the Vernon County Jail on five charges. Around 9 p.m., Troopers arrested McCannon for driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash, driving while suspended, failure to display valid license plates and operating a vehicle in a careless manner.
