Dalton Evan Chadd

Dalton Evan Chadd, 22, of Nevada, Mo., passed away June 9, 2014, in Sheldon. He was born May 21, 1992, in Nevada, the son of Douglas Lyn Chadd and Deanna Star (Carpenter) Cullison. On July 28, 2012, he was united in marriage to Chelsea Marie Poe and she survives of the home.

Dalton spent most of his early years growing up in Vernon County attending school in Nevada, NEVC, then for a time in Fort Scott, Kan., before graduating from Bronaugh High School in 2010. After graduation, he worked for LMS in Fort Scott, then was employed at 3M Company and American Standard and had only recently began working for NOW Structures in Compton Junction.

In his spare time, Dalton enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his most cherished times were those spent with his wife and children.

Aside from his wife, Chelsea, Dalton is survived by his son, Jeep Roper Chadd and his daughter, Cambree Layne Chadd, both of the home; his mother and stepfather, Deanna Cullison and her husband, Richard, of Garland, Kan; his father and stepmother, Doug Chadd and his wife, Lori, of Nevada; four brothers, Seath Chadd and Samantha, of Nevada, (along with their children, Camden and Maci), Dillon Chadd, Austin Chadd, and Koby Chadd, all of Nevada; one sister, Lailee Chadd, of Nevada; one stepsister, Sydney Cullison, of Garland, Kan.; paternal grandparents, David Chadd, of Sheldon, and June and Paul Dobbins, of Carthage; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Stacey and Larry Poe, of Bronaugh; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, other relatives and a host of friends.

A memorial service for Dalton Evan Chadd is scheduled at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 14, at the Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with the Rev. Wayne Coble officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m., Friday, June 13, also at Ferry Funeral Home. Interment will follow at a later date.

Contributions may be made in memory of Dalton to an Educational Fund for his children in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
