Rob Duane Robertson

Rob Duane Robertson, 58, Rich Hill, Mo., passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Kansas University Medical Center, in Kansas City, after an illness of several months. Rob was born Jan. 29, 1956, in Nevada, Mo., to Bob M. Robertson and Maxine (Rinehart) Robertson. He was united in marriage to Barbara Bland on Sept. 21, 2001, in Rich Hill, and she survives of the home.

Rob was reared in the Metz area and graduated from Metz High School Class of 1974. Following high school he attended SMS, in Springfield, for a semester to play basketball before transferring to Fort Scott Community College for an additional three semesters. He then attended the University of Missouri, in Columbia, and received an agriculture education degree. Following graduation he returned to the family farm to farm with his father. Rob attended the Hume Christian Church where he served as a deacon.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, survivors include his children, son, Blake Robertson and his wife, Janna, and their daughter, Tyne, of Nevada, Jerimiah Brewer, Pittsburg, Kan., and Camron Brewer and his wife, Tiffany, Ash Grove, Mo.; his parents, Bob and Maxine Robertson, Richards, Mo.; one brother, Randy Robertson and his wife, Nancy, Cassville, Mo.; and nephew and nieces, Brett, Brooke and Brianna Robertson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 3, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with visitation at 10 a.m., prior to the service. Interment will be held in Newton Burial Park in Nevada.
