Nora Ellen Crisp

Nora Ellen Crisp, 73, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014, in Waterford, Calif.

Nora was born on Feb. 21, 1941, in Nevada, Mo., to the late Orville and Bertha (Burris) Bayne. At the age of two, Nora moved to California with her family while her father served in the United States Navy. She attended Ceres High School.

Nora was united in marriage to Franklin D. "Frank" Crisp on Nov. 12, 1987, in Reno, Nev. Following their marriage the couple resided in Waterford, Calif.

Nora was a supervisor for Weyerhaeuser and retired after 27 years of service. Among her special interests, Nora enjoyed gardening, animals, the outdoors and her involvement in the family football pool.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Lois Ables and Orva Lynn Roberts; and her sons, Donald M. Sroufe Jr., Franklin D. Crisp Jr. and Curtis Lee Crisp Sr.

Nora is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Frank Crisp, of Waterford, Calif.; her children, Donna (Mark) Moore, of Turlock, Calif., Loree (Ron) Kerttula, of Smith River, Calif., David (Shawnda) Sroufe, of Turlock, Calif., and Brian (Shelby) Crisp, of Mansfield, Texas; and her sister, Joann Bayne, of Nevada. Also surviving are her eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nora loved and was loved and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Nora's life will be held on Saturday, July 19, at a family's residence in Waterford.
