Stanley Lee Urner

Stanley Lee Urner, 71, Nevada, Mo., passed away Aug. 4, 2014, at the Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada. Stanley was born Feb. 28, 1943, in Nevada, to Anthony McCain Urner and Viola Frances (Vaughn) Urner.

Stanley was a lifelong resident of Nevada, except for six years which he spent in California.

He attended Nevada High School graduating with the Class of 1961. Stanley was the owner/operator of his own service station for many years then spent a short time working as a machinist at Sperzel. He was an artist who enjoyed painting, woodwork and metal work. In his spare time he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Stanley attended the First Christian Church in Nevada. His memberships also included the Masonic Lodge of Nevada.

Survivors include two brothers, Tony Urner and his wife, Carole, Nevada, and Gary Urner and his wife, Marsha, Ozark, Mo.; two nieces, Mandy, and Jaime; and two great-nephews, Mitchel and Jack. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 8, at Newton Burial Park, in Nevada, with the Rev. David Rorabaugh officiating.

Contributions may be made in his memory to the Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada, in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
