Survivors include her three children, Ida Mae Weber and Tony, of Kit Carson, Colo., Philip Dale Willis and Sherry, of Joplin, and Melinda Sue Mortimer, of Pendale, Pa.; her mother, Edna Davis, of Nevada; siblings, Richard Counce, of Ellicotte, Colo., Edwin Counce, of Elizabeth, Colo., Karen Jackson, of Castle Rock, Colo., Barbara of Texas, and Roy Counce Jr., of Elizabeth, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her father; brother, David; and stepmother, Rosie Counce.

It was Carol's wish to have her ashes taken back to her Colorado, the place she considered home. Her children are fulfilling that wish.
