Beshore races to second place finish

Nevada Middle School speedster Callie Beshore continued her season of excellence, by finishing in second place in the 1.5 mile event, Tuesday at Lamar.

Beshore finished with a time of 9:23.

Other Nevada Middle Schoolers to run were: Amara Pippen, who placed seventh, running the mile-and-a-half in 10:03; Hallie Lundine, clocking in at 12:15; on the boys middle school side Devin McHugh finished in 35th place with a time of 9:30 and Ben Sudkamp checked in at 10:52.

Nevada High School junior varsity runners included: Trent Ellis, who earned a medal with his 25th place finish time off21:28; Luke Sudkamp had a final time of 22:14, good for 35th place; and Cayden Campbell crossed the finish line at 27:26.

Ben Sommer was the only Nevada High School varsity entrant. Sommer's time of 19:04 landed him 32nd place.

The next cross country event is slated for Oct. 9 at Carl Junction.
