Countywide cleanup Oct. 25

The Vernon County Commission and Region M Solid Waste Management District is hosting the Fall County Wide Clean Up Event Oct. 25, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Vernon County fairgrounds.

All collections are on a first come basis as space allows. No tires will be accepted. Cement blocks, bricks, and household hazardous waste will also not be accepted.

Products accepted include E-waste, household solid waste, and construction waste.

The e-waste collection includes monitors, VCR/TV, sewing machines, PCs, adaptors, lawn mowers, keyboards, satellite receivers, weed eaters, computer mice, satellite dishes, exercise equipment, printers, hubs, switches, vacuum cleaners, speakers, UPS, fans, scanners, remote controls, portable heaters, laptop, paper shredders, power tools, copy machines, bicycles, fire extinguishers, fax machines, humidifiers, ballasts, typewriters, batteries, BBQ grills, DVD players, water heaters, air conditioners (no Freon), stereos, dishwashers, washers/microwave ovens, cell phones, telephones, and dryers.
