Patricia Colleen White

Patricia Colleen White, 66, of Nevada, Mo., passed from this life Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at her home. She was born Dec. 21, 1947, in Sebring, Fla., the daughter of Hick Monroe and Colleen Bonn (Piety) Callahan. On Aug. 23, 1974, she was united in marriage to Chester Leon White, and he survives of the home.

As a young child, Patricia, along with her family, moved from Florida to Missouri to be near family and to be near her father's employment. She attended school in Ballard graduating with the Class of 1965. After her school years she married Allen Robinson and together became parents of two sons. They lived in the Butler area, then after a time she and her sons moved to Nevada where she began working at King Arthur's Bargain Barn. It was while living in Nevada that she met Leon White and, after their marriage, made Nevada home for the rest of her life.

She worked for many years as a physical therapy assistant at Nevada Regional Medical Center where she loved her job, her co-workers, and the many patients that she cared for during her time there. She was baptized at the age of 12 and had been a longtime member of the Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school and volunteered in We Care, as well as serving in any capacity that she was needed.

In what spare time she had, Patricia loved to read and travel. But her greatest love was for her family, her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren -- she loved them all dearly.

Survivors in addition to her husband, Leon, include her children, Daniel W. White and Rhonda, of Nevada, Stephanie A. Wright and Dalton, of Conway, David L. White and Tracy, of Nevada, Jeffrey A. Robinson and Stephanie, of Warrensburg, Bradley D. White and Rebecca, of Sarcoxie, Scott B. Robinson, of Denver, Colo., and Philip W. White and Tricia, of Spring Hill, Kan.; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives, and a host of many friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Mike.

Funeral services for Patricia Colleen White will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Church of Christ, in Nevada. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, in Nevada. Visitation is scheduled from 6-7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 17, at the church.
