The NRTC-DECA chapter has begun a community service project to help Community Outreach replenish their emergency food supplies.

From now until Dec. 19, they will be conducting a community wide food drive with a goal of collecting 5,000 pounds of non-perishable food items. Their campaign is built around the theme "A City without Hunger is a City with a Heart."

NRTC Marketing and Graphic Design student Brett Scott designed the campaign's logo. DECA team leaders of the campaign are Myrissa Dunfield, Ryleigh Galimberto, and Jacee Heckadon.

Collection boxes have been placed in the NRTC lobby, the Bowman Building lobby, Crowder College lobby, Century 6 Cinema, Country Inn & Suites, and Woods Supermartket. Items to support this effort may also be dropped off at Community Outreach, 229 N. Cedar.

Team leaders state, "All we ask is that you clean your cupboards and share some of what you might already have for this worthy effort."
