Betty L. Satterfield

Betty L. Satterfield, 81, Bronaugh, Mo., passed from this life on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014, at her home in Bronaugh, following a short illness. Betty was born Aug. 20, 1933, in Bronaugh, to Carl Henry Earl and Dolly Bell (Farmer) Earl. She was united in marriage to Aaron Satterfield in Neosho, Mo., in 1969, and he survives of the home.

Betty was raised in Bronaugh and has resided nearly all her life in Vernon County. She attended school at Bronaugh High School graduating with the Class of 1951. Betty was employed by Mercy Hospital, in Fort Scott, for 27 years until her retirement. She enjoyed her flower garden, cooking and traveling, but especially loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband survivors include her children, Sandy Weber and her husband, Ed, Carl Junction, Mo., Pam McKee and her husband, Randy, Mesa, Ariz., Connie Smith, Lamar, Mo., Debbie Heitz and her husband, John, Bronaugh, Mike Satterfield, Bronaugh, Gary Satterfield and his wife, Cindy, Bronaugh; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ann Hinkle and her husband, Amos, Bronaugh, and Louise Holland and her husband, Howard, Liberal, Mo.; one foster son, Steve Hoye and his wife, Lisa, Bronaugh; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Tim and David.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 27, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery, Barton County, Mo. Friends may call from noon Friday until the hour of service.
