Trudy Lynn Crews, 54, Nevada, Mo., passed away after a lengthy illness on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at her home in Nevada. Trudy was born Janu. 5, 1961, in Kansas City, Mo., to Bobby Gene Johnson Sr. and Barbara Jean (Phillips) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Crews in May 2000, and he survives of the home.

Trudy came to Vernon County at a young age with her family and attended school in Bronaugh. She had lived in the Nevada area for the past 35 years, working for Key Work Clothes, Vieth's Cafe, Rambler Restaurant, and other restaurants in the area.

In addition to her husband, Jimmy, survivors include her children and stepchildren, Jennifer Crews, Nevada, Jerod "Jr" Johnson, Milo, Jimmy Crews, Nevada, and Timmy Crews, Nevada; her mother, Barbara Falls, Lamar, Mo.; grandchildren, Kaitlynn Crews, Jasper, Colton Crews, Jasper, Madison Drake, Olathe, Kan., Gary Drake III, Olathe, Kan., Shawna Marie Crews, Joplin, Kaiser Johnson, Milo, and Kenson Johnson, Milo; one brother, Bobby J. Johnson Jr., Nevada; two sisters, Debbie Stockman, Canton, Ill., and Kimberly Johnson, Belleville, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Tammy Johnson; and brother, George Lee Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with Pastor Jeff Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., today, at the funeral home.
