Arthur Marvin Garren, 71, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center, in Nevada. Art was born on Aug. 26, 1943, in Windsor, Mo., to Arthur L. and Eula Mae (Bohen) Garren.

Art was raised in Urich and graduated from Urich High School. As a teenager he was taken in by the Bill Vinyard family. Later, when they relocated to Nevada, he moved with them and made Nevada his permanent home. Art was co-owner of Vinyard Farm and Home in Nevada for a number of years. He later owned and operated Capri Bowl in Nevada for 8 years. Art enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and being with his grandchildren.

Art was married to Connie Thomas and from this union three children survive: a daughter, Shelly Walker and her husband, Kenneth, Nevada; and sons, Paul Garren, Sheldon, and Jason Garren, Nevada. Art was later married to Tracy Bailey, and from this marriage one son survives, Joe Garren, Marianna, Fla. In 2010, he was married to Teresa (Maggard) Kerns and she preceded him in death in 2012. Art is also survived by 12 grand-children; two sisters, Virginia Badora, Nevada, and Hazel East, Clinton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 20, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
