Zenial E. (McPeak) Hertzberg

Zenial E. McPeak Hertzberg, 87, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center, in Nevada. Zenial was born Feb. 23, 1928, in El Dorado Springs, Mo., to Ray E. and Nellie (Green) McPeak.

Zenial was raised in El Dorado Springs. She attended school there and graduated from El Dorado Springs High School Class of 1946. Following high school she attended college at the University of Kansas.

Zenial was united in marriage to L. Milton Hertzberg in 1950 and to this union two children were born. In 1955 they moved to Nevada and opened Hertzberg Furniture Co., which they operated together for many years. Zenial enjoyed golf, traveling and playing bridge. She was a current member of Lares, the Nevada Country Club, a former member of Thalias MFWC, and many bridge clubs.

In addition to her husband, Milton, of the home, she is survived by two children, Steven M. Hertzberg and his wife, Karen, Nevada, and Connie Hertzberg Mangiaracina and her husband, Phillip, Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Blake Hertzberg and his wife, Amy, Nevada, Darcy Hertzberg Herold and her husband, Jason, Lee's Summit, Mo., and Sean A. Mangiaracina, Kansas City, Mo.; and four great-grandchildren, Paige Hertzberg, Parker Hertzberg, Bennett Herold, and Harrison Herold.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, March 30, at Newton Burial Park, in Nevada.

Contributions may be made in her memory to Barone Alzheimer's Care Center or National MS Society in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
