LaRue Fengler

LaRue Fengler, 87, of Moundville entered Heaven's gate to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada. She was born April 20, 1928, in Bronaugh, the daughter of William David and Zilpha Angeline (Jones) Young. She was united in marriage to Edward Fengler on Feb. 22, 1947, in Fort Scott, Kan., and he preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 2007. Their union was blessed with three daughters.

She and Ed lived on the family farm in Moundville all of their married lives. She was a wonderful homemaker and Mother to their three girls and was always involved in their school activities as they grew up. She was a longtime member of the Community Christian Church. She always greatly enjoyed watching the birds around their home but was especially fond of the hummingbirds.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Hinds and husband, Vic, of Moundville, Carol Long and husband, Les, of Cleburne, Texas, and Kathy Keithly and husband, Doug, of Evergreen, Colo.; six grandchildren, Vickie Sprague and husband, Larry, Carla Gilliam and husband, Brian, Rodney Hinds and wife, Julie, Brian Long and wife, Sherry, Erich Keithly, and Scott Keithly; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. LaRue was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lotus, Corlys, and Fern; and four brothers, Maurice, Sherman, Joel, and Jay.

Funeral services for LaRue Fengler are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. Burial will follow in Newton Burial Park, also in Nevada.
