Nevadans compete in inaugural MO/KAN All-State Games

Submitted photo / Nevada Middle School eighth-graders Calli Beshore (left) and Hailee Lundine recently participated in the inaugural MO/KAN All State Games in Overland Park, Kan., at Blue Valley Recreation, Aug. 1. The All-State Games showcased players who have been nominated throughout the season at participating All-State Games qualifiers. Players were nominated for displaying great overall effort and tournament performance throughout the season as well as displaying great sportsmanship. Only players from Kansas and Missouri were eligible for the All-State Games. In addition to playing in the games, Beshore and Lundine received MO/KAN All State rings and USSSA All State status for the 12-and-under division. Beshore and Lundine were members of the Buck Commander softball team this summer. The team is based out of Fort Scott, Kan., and concluded the season with a 36-10 record.
