NEVC VB falls in three sets to Ballard

The Northeast Vernon County Lady Knights fell in a hard-fought three-set match against Ballard, Tuesday at home.

NEVC won the first set 25-15, before losing sets two and three 21-25, and 11-25.

Becky Jennings led the team in serves with six aces, followed by Emma Pritchet and Kiley Gerster with two aces apiece.

"Tonight, the girls came out strong," NEVC coach Kelci Rapp said. "We are evenly matched teams that both fought hard to take control of the game.

"We look forward to playing them again later on in the season."
