Editor's note: More 2015 NRMC Gala photos will appear in an upcoming edition of the Nevada Daily Mail.

This year the NRMC Foundation Gala was Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Elks Lodge Bingo Hall. The annual event, which is a fundraiser for the Foundation, featured a big-top circus theme that included circus style decorations, food, games, music, and costumes.

During the event, a silent auction was held and prizes were drawn. Participants who purchased tickets for the circus-style games were eligible for the drawing. A roving magician and balloon artist made their way around the tables and entertained guests as they mingled during the social hour, and while they ate at their tables.

Some 49 business and individual sponsorships made the event possible. The 12 gala committee members did the planning and preparation. Thirty-seven businesses and individuals donated items for the drawing and silent auction.

The ringmaster for the evening was Cathy Parungao, gala committee chair, who welcomed the guests. Announcements were made by Judith Herstein. The invocation was given by Dennis Painter. Introductions were done by Kevin Leeper, NRMC's CEO.

The dinner course was marinated and glazed beef and chicken shish kabobs, topped with a sweet and spicy corn relish, or mushrooms and veggie kabobs. For dessert, a hard ice cream station served by the "Ice Cream Man" featured a variety of fun flavors on cones or in a cup.
