Jimmie V. Durossette Sr., 67, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died late Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at the Olathe Medical Center, in Olathe, Kan. He was born Sept. 28, 1948, in Hood River, Ore., the son of Roy Floyd Durossette and Emma Jean Greer Durossette. Jimmie married Darlene McBeath on March 2, 1968, in Belton, Mo. Over the years, Jimmie had worked in various area factories. He enjoyed fishing and doing mechanic work.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene, of the home; a son, Jimmie V. Durossette Jr. and wife, Orpha, of Fort Scott; a daughter, Michelle Lynn Durossette, of Arkansas City, Kan.; four grandchildren, Michael, Samantha, Matthew, and Denver; three stepgrandchildren, Genna, Virgil, and James; and three great-grandchildren, Deven, Annie, and Zane. Also surviving is a brother, Roy Gene Durossette, of Cassville, Mo. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rachelle.

There was cremation. A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, Kan.
