Margaret "Lou Jean" Stiles

Margaret "Lou Jean" Stiles, 84, Nevada, Mo., passed from this life on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada. Lou Jean was born on Oct. 29, 1931, in Milo, Mo., to C. Floyd and Lena B. (Roberts) Dahmer. She was united in marriage to Charles "Jack" Stiles on Aug. 12, 1950, in Bentonville, Ark., and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2000.

Lou Jean grew up in Milo and attended Nevada High School. She was a former Homecoming Queen and graduated with the Class of 1949. She worked for Farm and Home Savings and Loan, in Nevada, for 10 years before moving to Joplin where she was employed by Eagle Picher Manufacturing in Joplin and Seneca for 40 years. After making her home in Joplin for 52 years she returned to Nevada in 2012. Lou Jean was a member of the Forest Park Baptist Church, in Joplin.

Survivors include her children, Lane Stiles, Nashville, Tenn., Kent Stiles and his wife, Becky, Houston, Texas, Brad Stiles and his wife, Donna, Van Buren, Ark., and Kelli Stiles, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Jack, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Yocum; one grandson, Brandon Stiles; and her brother, Ron Dahmer.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6, at Milo Cemetery, in Milo, with the Rev. Hubert Fox officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada.
