John M. Atkinson, 85, Nevada, Mo., died on Dec. 18, 2015, at The Gardens, at Barry Road, in Kansas City, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23, at First Christian Church, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service at the church.
