Comets net third-seed at NJCAA Region 16 tourney

The Cottey Comets have been awarded the third-seed for the upcoming NJCAA Division II Region 16 women's basketball tournament, Feb 23-27 at Ozark Christian College in Joplin. The winner of Tuesday's play-in game between No. 4 seed North Central Missouri College and No. 5 seed Wentworth Military Academy, will get the top-seeded St. Louis Community College Lady Archers Feb. 26 at 1 p.m. Meanwhile, the third-seeded Comets match-up with second-seeded MCC Penn-Valley, Feb 26 at 3 p.m in the second semifinal game.
