Joe Lynn Fulton, 75, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at Mercy Hospital, in Joplin, Mo., following a sudden illness. Joe was born on Oct. 13, 1940, in Kansas City, Mo., to Fred Boyd and Ruth (Joseph) Fulton. He was united in marriage to Delene Ann Dickason on Dec. 23, 1977, in Miami, Okla., and she survives of the home.

He attended schools in Kansas City, Mo., until 1955 when he moved to Nevada to live with Gene and Rena (Joseph) Farnham, his aunt and uncle. He attended Nevada High School Class of 1958 before enlisting in the Navy in 1958. Joe was stationed on the USS Oriskany at San Diego, Calif. Joe was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed watching racing, golf, and boxing, especially pay-per-view fights in the homes of his good friends. He also enjoyed foreign films. He was a voracious reader, especially World War history, spy and intrigue novels, and Consumer Reports. Joe and Delene travelled as much as possible, driving annually to visit his sister in Las Vegas and return to San Diego, making stops at some of the national parks. They also made Saturday trips out of town, and he spent Tuesdays and Thursdays attending auto auctions in Belton and Springfield.

In addition to his wife, Delene, survivors include three children, Sid Fulton and his wife, Kristine, Nevada, Brianne Fulton-Miller and her husband, Scott, Nevada, and Seth Fulton and his fiancé, Sophia Al-Roubaie, Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren, Anna Fulton, Joseph Fulton, Mia Fulton, and Zachary Fulton; and three siblings, David F.
