Jan (Larimore) Cannon

Jan (Larimore) Cannon, 66, Nevada, Mo., passed from this life on March 23, 2016, at her home in Nevada. Jan was born June 2, 1949, in Omaha, Neb., to William Damon and Leona Dora (Marsh) Larimore. She was united in marriage to John Cannon on July 17, 2013, in Miami, Okla., and he survives of the home.

Jan was raised in Omaha and came to Nevada with her family at the age of 16. She attended Nevada High School for two years graduating with the Class of 1967. For a number of years, Jan worked as a hairdresser with Jeanette Russell in Nevada and in 1979 she began working at Nevada High School and was currently employed as a cook and manager of Nevada High School Cafeteria. Jan loved gardening and growing flowers, enjoyed baking and was well known for her cinnamon rolls.

In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by four daughters, Amy Leonard and her husband, Clark, Milo, Mo., Angie Nelson and her husband, John, Nevada, Kathy Greer and her husband, Jeff, Nevada, and Karen Miller, Kingwood, Texas; grandchildren, Derek Stark, Milo, Mandy Mattingly, Exeter, Mo., Kaleb Leonard, Nevada, Tyler Greer, Milo, Tanner Greer, Springfield, Mo., Jerin Miller, Kingwood, Texas, and Jamie Miller, Kingwood, Texas; one great-grandson, Beau Leonard, Nevada; three sisters, Joan Sander, Moundville, Judy Larimore, Moundville, and LeAnn Kohel, Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Dan Larimore, Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Damon Larimore, Bud Larimore, and John Larimore.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 26, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, Mo., with the Rev. Terry Mosher officiating. Internet will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery, Milo, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
