Maxon Ray "Max" Senkevech

Maxon Ray "Max" Senkevech, 73, Bronaugh, Mo., departed this life on May 29, 2016, at his home in Bronaugh, following an illness of several months. Max was born March 22, 1943, in Moundville, Mo., to Adam and Bessie Pearl (Doris) Senkevech.

Max was raised in the Bronaugh area and graduated from Bronaugh High School in 1961. Max was a veteran of the Vietnam War era serving with the United States Army at Ft. Sill, Okla. After serving his country, he returned to the family farm which he operated until his retirement.

Max is survived by his partner of 12 years, Brenda Mart of the home; three children, Scott Senkevech and Stephanie, Deerfield, Jessica Caprio and Ed, Sturgeon, Mo., and Justin Senkevech and Brook, Deerfield, Mo.; six stepchildren, Sharon Ashby, Nevada, Tim Ashby and Karen, Branson, Mo., Donnie Ashby, Galena, Kan., Kelly Lewis and Craig, Gravois Mills, Mo., Brittany Clark and Brett, Nevada, Mo., Laura Smith and Loren, Appleton City, Mo.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and stepgrandchildren; brothers, Tom Senkevech, Nevada, Mo., and Jack Senkevech, Terrill, Texas; two nephews; and many other extended family and special friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, RaeAnn Cannefax, who passed away May 25, 2016.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 3, in the Ferry Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Roger Beach officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Barton County. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m., at Ferry Funeral Home.
