With its district championship secured, the Nevada Lady Tigers return to the court Saturday in Mt. Vernon for the Missouri State High School Activities Association Class 1 Sectional 3 tennis tournament.

The Lady Tigers will square off against Mt. Vernon, while Springfield Catholic will face Rogersville.

According to a press release distributed by Nevada High School, doubles matches "will began at 9 a.m., while singles matches will begin 10 minutes after all players are available following completion of their doubles matches. Some singles matches may start prior to the completion of all doubles matches."

The press release continued, "parking will be available at the north entrance to Spirit of 76 park. Look for the tennis parking signs."

Additionally, "Mt. Vernon's annual Apple Butter Making Days will be taking place this weekend, so there will be 30,000-40,000 people around the town square Saturday morning.

"The tennis courts are located within a half mile of the square, so it will be very crowded around Spirit of 76 Park. Teams and fans will need to travel to Spirit of 76 Park from the north off of Highway 174. The route around town square will be closed that day. Please check google maps for the route."
