Dynamic duo lifts Lady Cats' to GVVC victory

Top notch performances from seniors Katey Rider and Taylor Stratford propelled the Bronaugh Lady Wildcats to a 48-13 road-victory Tuesday night over Ballard. It was Bronaugh's first Golden Valley Vernon County Conference action of the season. The combined 32 points from Rider and Stratford helped get Bronaugh (4-1 overall 1-0 GVVC) back on the winning track, as the Lady Wildcats lost its first game of the season Monday night to Butler, falling 61-44 in the non-conference road contest.

Against Ballard on Tuesday, Rider, a forward, knocked down 9-of-16 field goal attempts, while Stratford had another impressive performance ---- pitching in 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting. Additionally for Bronaugh, Paige Wait, Riley Knapp and Bonnie Moore added four points apiece, while Becca Raper and Mandy Murphy chipped in with two point apiece.

The Bronaugh Wildcat (boys team) bested Ballard 45-39 to improve to 2-3 overall (1-0 GVVC). Note: Scoring information was not available for the boys contest.
