John Green

John Green, 54 of Nevada, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 24, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, as the result of a sudden illness.

John was born on Nov. 16, 1962 in Denver, Colo. He was an over the road truck driver for a very long time. He enjoyed being a part of the Eagle Riders, hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends, watching football, and riding his Harley Davidson. John has resided in Nevada for the past six years.

He was survived by his sister, Michelle and John Nelson, of Nevada; his adopted family, Jackie and Brad Widick, of Nebraska; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

John was preceded in death by his mother and father, Evelyn and Francis Brown.

Funeral services will be held at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, with Pastor Craig Campbell officiating. Following the services there will be a dinner at the Eagles in Nevada.
