Work to close the landfill at 3M continues, leading to the need to close an additional section of Division Street. Due to public safety concerns regarding road conditions during the final phase of the closure of the 3M landfill, E. Division Street will be closed immediately from the intersection of S. Barrett Street to the 1650 Road intersection.
The hauling of landfill cover soil on this section of Division St. will result in a mud-covered roadway making it unsafe for public use during this time.
The road will be cleared of all mud and soil before opening again for public use January 17th.

Division Street between 1650 Road and 1700 Road will be closed until mid January. The reason for the road closure is to allow earth-moving equipment to cross back-and-forth from that area south of Division St. where a contractor is taking top soil and clay to complete the 3M landfill closure project on the north side of Division St. (Photo by Gabe Franklin/Daily Mail)
