Willard W.W. Bond, 82, Nevada, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 7, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada following a brief illness. Willard was born July 9, 1934, in Nevada, to Lucian D. and Beulah (Barbee) Bond. He was united in marriage to Isabel Clemons on Nov. 22, 1959, in Nevada, and she survives of the home.

Willard was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School. Willard served in the United States Army for two years, from 1957 until 1959, and was stationed in Germany and Beirut, Lebanon. Following his service years, he came back to Nevada and raised his family. Willard worked at Nevada State Hospital for 27 years until his retirement. He also raised cattle all his life. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, coon hunting and coyote hunting. Willard was a member of the Nevada Elks No. 564, Richards Masonic No. 495, and was a lifelong member of the VFW in Nevada.

In addition to his wife, Isabel, survivors include five sons, Tim Bond and his wife, Stacy, Nevada, Kevin Bond and his wife, Susan, Moundville, Jamo Bond and his wife, Lisa, Nevada, Jeff Bond and his wife, Myra, Nevada, Jason Bond and his wife, Margaret, Nevada; grandchildren, Kyle Bond, Lucian Bond, Collin Bond, Darcy Bond, Brady Bond, Hannah Bond, Adrian Bond and Hallie Bond; one great-grandson, Connor Dean Bond; three sisters, Thelma Alumbaugh, Scottsdale, Ariz., Fern Welch, Nevada, Marion Raines, Nevada; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Dale Bond; one sister, Wilma Reed; three brothers, Elton "Bub" Bond, Elmon Bond and Junior Bond.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. Mark Mitchell officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Antioch Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home.
