Veronica Rose Blake, 31, Nevada, left this world on Monday, March 27, due to a car accident she had no control of. Veronica was born June 26, 1985, in Columbia, Mo., to Ralph Henry and Mary Anna (Murray) Blake.

Rose grew up in Richards. She loved Richards. Played in a tree house with her brother and many friends. Loved Richards' Days. Liked having a garden and planting flowers. Enjoyed going on family fishing trips and swimming at Erickson's Ford located in Hickory County. Loved going to Pomme de Terre Lake and the Marina at the Dam. Went frogging several times. Also Bushwhacker Days. She always went way overboard on holidays and birthdays. The day she graduated from high school she said she was sad because she loved going to school. She was a whiz on a computer.

Rose was the happiest when she had all of her friends around her. She tried to do for her friends all she could Rose always said she wanted to help the less fortunate and she tried.

Survivors include three children, Alyssa, Taylor and William, of the home; her parents, Doc and Mary Blake, Nevada; one brother, Kevin Blake, Nevada; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 31, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
