Zane “Randy” Potts of Raymore Mo., passed away April 8. He was born on July 24, 1948, to Clifton and Bernita Potts in Evansville, Ind.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday, April 23, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Raymore, Mo., followed by Military Honors at the church.

Randy served very proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1970 on the USS Henley (Destroyer) as a Fire Control Technician.

He was inseparable to his loving wife of 47 years to Sandi (NEE Sparks). They were married in Nevada, in 1969. After the Navy they moved to Kansas City, Mo., to start a family and a wonderful life together.

Randy really enjoyed his lifetime career as a Local No. 8 Plumber working on construction projects around the KC area from 1971-1992, followed by 22 years at Bendix/Honeywell until his retirement in 2014.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Barton “Barty” and Joseph Potts; and his cousin, Johnna Fox.

Randy adored his family who survives him, his cherished wife, Sandra; and their two very loved children, daughter, Tandria Price (Travis) and grandson, Weston; son, Randall “Bart” (Danna) and granddaughters, Lauren and Ashley; cousins (“sisters”) Frances Haas (Murray) and Carolyn Reed (Bob).

He was active in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives and activities. Never having met a stranger, all knew his friendly face and enjoyed his conversation and fun nature.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Belton American Legion or KC Hospice House.

Arrangements are by Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Mo., 816-322-5278.
